GP-200 bricked

My Valeton GP-200 bricked during a firmware update. Since Valeton's engineers failed to put a hardware reset button on the device, it appears hopelessly bricked.

Valeton's tech support has not been tremendously helpful. They suggested trying to reinitiate the firmware update, which failed. Then they said to try it on a different PC but that failed. Then they provided a means to test for a suspect Windows patch but that patch was not installed.

And then their support team went on vacation for five days, which I'm still waiting for them to return from.

Various AIs have told me of alleged button combinations to press during the power-up cycle to get it to factory reset but none of them have worked.

I have left the board unplugged for four days. Immediately on power up the screen shows it's still in firmware update mode. The firmware that handles firmware updates seems to be locked or in a dead loop that not even power resetting addresses.

Has anyone here bricked a GP-200 before? If so were you able in any way to do a factory reset?

Did you ever get this sorted?
Yes I did, thanks. Had to borrow a Windows 10 laptop to do it, but that's skipped by a Windows 11 Microsoft patch that changed USB functions which the pedal board could not adapt to.

They need to get their upgrades working with the latest operating systems IMO.

I recently upgraded my Mooer Prime S1 and luckily it went smoothly.

I recently purchased a new Helix Stadium XL (I had had the LT when it was released, and eventually sold it for the Floor, and sold it for the Stadium). I had issues upgrading the firmware which turned out to be a known date/time issue...but as I was looking for solutions I saw a few posts on the Line 6 forums of people whose Stadiums had bricked... not sure if they got it fixed as I was trying to solve my update issue....I'd be pissed if there wasn't a fix.

Good to hear you got it working!
