My Valeton GP-200 bricked during a firmware update. Since Valeton's engineers failed to put a hardware reset button on the device, it appears hopelessly bricked.
Valeton's tech support has not been tremendously helpful. They suggested trying to reinitiate the firmware update, which failed. Then they said to try it on a different PC but that failed. Then they provided a means to test for a suspect Windows patch but that patch was not installed.
And then their support team went on vacation for five days, which I'm still waiting for them to return from.
Various AIs have told me of alleged button combinations to press during the power-up cycle to get it to factory reset but none of them have worked.
I have left the board unplugged for four days. Immediately on power up the screen shows it's still in firmware update mode. The firmware that handles firmware updates seems to be locked or in a dead loop that not even power resetting addresses.
Has anyone here bricked a GP-200 before? If so were you able in any way to do a factory reset?
