Graph Tech nut ?

Is it worth to mount a graph-tech nut instead of regular plastic ?

i have a les paul with one, and i love it. will be putting more in soon, as 4 are getting worn down.

But the nut can change anything in tone ? Increase sustain or what ?
(excluding open strings)

I really like the graphtech nuts,especially over plastic.Not sure it the tone changes overall tone but I think it impro ves the quality of tone!

Whats it going on? I usually just get the slab and cut my own.

I mean there are some different types of materials - bone nut , TUSQ etc ...
And I don't know what take.

I just used what ever the color nut that came off but I believe they are the same material,I've used both and the do the same vibe.Ive never used that bonenut they have as it's been awhile since Ive been to the site,it might be cool,but I like the tusq

Yeah, I put a tusq on my LPC. I too cut it myself.

The tone didn't seem to change too much to my ear however it feels better. Better/clearer sustain.

the actual graph tech one. that same one they make the saddles for les pauls with. that's what i have on one of mine and love it. sustain increased, a bit warmer in the tone department, but not muddy.
