Not sure if this is the correct place to post this

I am thinking of selling my see thru green ESP (not LTD) Stephen Carpenter 6 string. I have not been able to find any that have sold recently. One that claims to be new did sell on Reverb for $4629 located in Germany.

Its in pretty good shape. The hardware has aged and has the case. Any ideas on what this might be valued at?

Thanks

I've sold three of them in the 2500 range. One black one for like 1800. People try to get 4 to 5k but they will sit there at that price. With inflation, I would shoot for 3500 and accept offers. BTW my favorite looking guitar ever but I have yet to play one that sounded very good at all. Maybe cause its a maple neck-thru build. Total disappointment.

Thanks for helping me with this info

I think we need pics.
This is the only one I have at the moment. If I can get the guitar out later, I will get a few more pics

Beautiful!

Given that they are rare, I would also shoot for $3500 and accept offers. Very aesthetically appealing guitars

Does the serial start with K or SS?

I had a black one of those that was the best drop tuning tone I've had out of any 6 string. IIRC it had a Duncan Distortion in it.

Well, that’s interesting. Is it T or TH? Or is it old enough or new enough that it’s just all numbers?

It is all numbers. I think I got this in 2017
It has MADE IN JAPAN, serial numbers and ESP CUSTOM GUITARS on the back of the headstock

I'd ask for more if you don't need the money right away. Give it time for the right buyer to find it, especially since it sounds like there aren't many out there.

You can always lower your price later. I've had things listed for so long I forgot I had them listed, and in many cases I got my original asking price or close to it but it took awhile.

OOh Ok, 2017 is not that old. It's after the new naming happened. So, the last number says where it was made (1, 2 or 3) and the two numbers before that say the year.

I bought it used. I think in 2017 but it may have been before 2017. I really dont remember the year.

Is it safe to post serial numbers?

I'd just cover up the middle 2 or 3 digits. The things that tell you something are the first 3-4 or the last 3.

That said, back before oh 2001 or so it was just a string of numbers that's harder to deciper. ESP has changed serial strategies a few times. That said, it gives the buyer an idea of the age in any case.
