So I am running into this issue with my G-major 2 and GCP.. When I switch to Patch 1 using Button #1 on the GCP and then Press #1 again, for some reason at times it goes to patch #2 on the G-major 2. I checked the midi configuration on the G-major 2 and GCP and everything is setup correctly from what I can see.

anything else you guys can recommend for me to check?

This seems like a feature to prevent redundant MIDI program changes isn't working properly. From the manual:

The Ground Control automatically filters redundant program changes when presets are recalled to avoid audible glitches. So if you change from one preset to another that has the same MIDI program specified, it won’t send the program change command again.

You should try the Voodoo Lab support forum. Their technical support seems quite good. http://www.voodoolab.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=9

This is their support email: info@voodoolab.com

Hey @Bash_Man - how are you?

If I remember correct, the GCP has a kind of Easter egg that allows you to have 5 presets vs. 4 in the 4 presets/Bank with instant access (page 15 of the manual), which is how you have it set up. If you are on preset 2, and step on the 2 switch again, it goes to the "wildcard" program automatically. You can get to that in programming in the GCP

Hey Michael,
I am well sir. How you doing? hope all is well with you.

is there a way to disable that "Wildcard" program or the feature?

Thanks,
Bashar

Let me do some digging - I haven't had the pedal for a while now. I want to say that it is in the programming of the GCP, and instead of #5, it has a symbol of some type. I will IM you when I find it

hey guys,
so I contacted Voodoo Labs support and they were great in providing some input on the matter. I ended up changing the Midi channel on the G-major 2 to Channel 1 instead of OMNI and it fixed this issue. However, in doing so, it created another "issue".

Now, when I use the bottom 4 buttons of the GCP, it calls different patches on the G-major 2.

When I press
- Button 1 --> Calls Patch 1 (works great)
- Button 2 --> Calls Patch 2 (works great as well)
- Button 3 --> Calls Patch 7 (i'd like it to call Patch 3)
- Button 4 --> Calls Patch 1 (i'd like it to call patch 4).

I tried to fool around with the midi section but no success.

any thoughts/input on this new issue now?

Thanks

Doing some digging around and came across this page from the manual. can anyone confirm for me if this is what I need or not.. which is Midi Mapping:

Thanks

Wanted to give everyone an update.. I got this issue resolved.

Ended up switching the Gmajor 2 and all the buttons on the GCP to Channel 1 and that fixed the issue.. but after the change, I had to re-change the bottom 4 buttons of the GCP to their respetive "patch" number on the Gmajor 2.
