So I finally dug into a studio series. Came out great. I did a pretty much complete MOAB+ mod on it. Coverted to pre tone stack master. Switchable between 3 and 4 stages. Gain cut switch, 3 way bright switch and compressed/ raw control. NFB and depth on back. Depth is push pull. Pulled adds a lot of thump.

Here’s an iPhone clip at pretty reasonable volume. The amp is on 4 stages here and is surprisingly quiet. Very little noise at all.

 
That sounds killer. Would love to see a sniper mod done to one of those!

I may start doing them. It came out great. But the loop is horrible. I need to find a solution to that issue first.

I actually have two of these amps. This one and a SV20 in white. My plan was to MOAB the SC20 and then do a Sniper on the SV20. I won’t start on the SV until I can solve the loop issue on the SC20

Here’s a pic of the added 4th stage inside. With switching relay to change from 3 to 4 stages by pulling gain knob

I love how Jeremy mods so many platforms - Rectos, Soldanos, Mezzabarbas and more than just a couple of Marshalls. Just nice to see someone willing to take chances and have success.
 
i have a Class 5 head, is that something you can turn into a low wattage beast??
