Pedals are so "in" nowadays. But I've been having loads of fun learning how to use old rack gear. So much so that I'm starting a new video program called Guitar Texture of the week. This week its Reverb. Specifically I'm using a Lexicon MPX-1. That's it for effects. No pedals at all. This is a custom patch I made on the MPX-1 which includes a Hall verb, with a couple of delays in parallel all summed up into a slow moving tremolo.

Though I feel the sound is fine on a phone or a laptop, plug in some headphones or earbuds to hear the stereoness. You'll notice the reverb tail slowly bounces from one side to the other.

Anyone else here using old rack gear? What do you use? And what about custom patches? I'd love to know. :)
