I need to buy a GOOD guitar software to run in Logic. I'm constantly recording at night and I cannot use my amps. I'd buy an Axe Fx or any other high quality modeller but I need to use it ASAP since I'm recording an album. It's an acoustic album so all the electric guitar parts will be clean guitars or bluesy breakup type of gain.

Which one's the best out there right now?

I don't own an iPad anymore. I need a software that I can load n logic and record.

I'm not current on this stuff anymore but I was using Revalver and free LePou plugins with great results a few years ago..

There are alot of free and decent amp sims out there and lecab.

That's pretty much all I use now for home use.

I found a Baron Custom Amp sim that I really like for metal and also found some rendition of the Randall Satan over at the Sneap forums lolol what a trip that was.

Anyhow quick and free that's pretty much the best option imo.

There are many out there, alot can do the slight crunch bluesy stuff too that you are after.

Otherwise if you are looking for cheap. Find a buddy with an ipad :P

With amplitube custom shop you can buy only 1 amp model.
By the way the JCM800 is very good IMO.

Last point, your audio interface is important. The more transparent the best results you will get with all these software.

Seriously, the free Le Pou amps are as good as most of what's out there. Try them. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

thank you. I have a Metric Halo ULN-2 (2D Expanded) and it's an excellent interface.

What free plugins are there that you can recommend? l

Thanks man. Yes, GR5. That clip uses one of the very first presets in the "New in GR5" category. I think it has the number "94" in the name. Sorry I can't be more specific at this time. I'm not at the computer where I have GR5 installed.
