Guitar pick

.88 mm Green Tortex have been my go to for years. I've tried many other numerous things and never found anything that I liked better. I used jazz III's when I started playing and soon noticed that I couldn't play worth a crap with a normal pic. I found this to be a problem and stopped using them all together.

love the Ultex Sharps .90 for around the house.

I play the Gator Grip .96 or 1.14 when gigging and wish they made them sharp. I sweat like a whore in church during gigs so trying to hang onto a Ultex isn't gonna happen.

I played the green tortex for ages...finally tried a few different shapes and found I played much cleaner with the Tortex Sharps (1.0mm blue)

Felt stupid for not trying something different all those years...

I use Dunlop Tortex .60mm 95% of the time. Sometimes i reach in a case and grab a pick and it turns out that it's a Dunlop Tortex .73mm. All my Dunlop were ordered in Black so unless i look at the little yellow turtle on the front then i don't know what i'm grabbing ahold of. i have tried the Dunlop Tortex 3's in .73mm and those are awesome too.

I think you are already there with the .73mm

I used to use the .88, but after a while too thick imo

I just want to have a limited choice - it will be much more easier to me to find my ideal pick.

My gut feeling says this thread won't really help - too much opinions, styles and choices :)
Too add some brands: I tried a lot and currently my favourites are Pickboy Metacarbonates - a little bit in between the normal shape and sharp. Tonally great, much more control than the normal shape Dunlops or Celltex I used to play, but the lifespan is a pain for any kind of rhythm work. For most kind of riffing I am now mainly using d'andrea pro grip brites - the 1 mm caught me with their 80's pink

Picks all come down to preference.
I use Dunlop Tortex 1.0 and 1.14

Imagine your back in the 80's. There was no internet to ask others opinions on what YOU should use. Or even what your favorite players used? You had to hope Guitar Player would ask in an interview! Serious..... Some of this stuff you just gotta figure out yourself brother..... and picks are the least expensive thing to experiment with.

Ultex 1.0 sharp is great.

I also use these mainly now.
