GLXD16 all the way. Had mine for years and it is amazing. Never ever had an issue. Battery life is amazing and the tuner is perfect. Tone is better than a cable too, imo, very crisp and clear.

Gooooo

I guess I'll be that guy.

I had a GLDX 16 for a while and initially loved it. I was skeptical about the band it was operating in (2.4 ghz is very crowded) but never had a problem. About a year ago I started having interference issues on stage.....especially in the busier venues. Tried re-scanning and re-syncing to no avail. It just went from OK to crap inside of about 2 months. It was beginning to affect our shows, and during a couple I had to switch over to a cable.

Long story short, I replaced it with a Shure PGXD14 running in the 900mhz range and all of my issues disappeared.

Moving forward I won't buy another wireless that operates in 2.4Ghz or 5.8Ghz. Those frequencies are just too crowded.

I have heard a lot of good things about the pgx. I haven't had any issues with my glx, but if I do, may go to the pgx. Shure has definitely earned my return business.
