Gun owners perspective on latest ICE shooting!

Many of us agree to disagree on much of what is going on in this country right now, but I found this mans perspective something worth some serious thought.

I am a gun owner myself and this is concerning as it seems if you are detained and have a gun and a concealed weapons permit that you are considered a threat without justifiable cause that they may shoot you on a whim if they want to? This is fucked up for anyone who believes in the second amendment !

This is a legitimate issue and one I honestly believed some of us could actually have a conversation in a civil manner without the name calling etc... but as always thanks for reminding me that rational discussion is not welcomed here and before I get sucked back into the discourse that once again is the off topic section which unfortunately is filled with anger, belligerence, and juvenile retort I will once again remind myself that I don't need to drive down this street.

Here we go again.
You don't want a rational discussion. Every thread you start is exactly the same. Same with the green guy.
You start off with a controversial topic, and also make your opinion known.
Then when people don't agree with your view, everyone else is "unreasonable" and then you run away, saying "enjoy yourselves" only to repeat the process.
When it comes to handguns, the states have their own laws. Some states require ID when carrying. Mine does.
I don't think i need my driver's license, but i do have to have my concealed carry permit on me when carrying in public (has the permit holder's picture on it).
Bringing a loaded handgun to a "peaceful protest" is absurd. You're looking for trouble at that point.
Engaging in a physical altercation with law enforcement, while carrying a loaded handgun and not having your carry permit on you is asking for exponentially more trouble. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
This is another tragic accident, where there was a loss of life when the deceased made a series of terrible choices that led to their demise.
Mistakes made on both sides? Probably.
But the "they were completely innocent and doing nothing wrong" narrative needs to stop.
Both of these protesters were engaged in some questionable behavior, knowing what the risks could be, but ignoring those risks altogether and sadly paid the ultimate price.
IDK WTF is up with Minneapolis, but it seems like a hotbed of Antifa activity. Between the 2020 riots and now this.

You are legally allowed to carry a gun anywhere if it is a registered concealed weapon. He was not brandishing it, he was not attempting to use it when several officers had him pinned to the ground , if fact one officer took it from him and then moments later he was shot several times. Murder plain and simple!
