Gun owners perspective on latest ICE shooting!

See, i tried to engage you in "reasonable discussion", yet again your facts are not correct. So kind of difficult to do.
It is absolutely not legal to carry a gun "anywhere", this sounds like it came from reddit lol.
The video is absolutely terrible, so difficult to be 100% sure. But it looks like Pretti was accidentally shot and killed when he reached for his cell phone. There were many people in a close proximity, there was miscommunication/confusion between the agents.
I am not saying the shooting was necessarily justified either way. Again the video is bad.
Using the term "murder" in this case is not accurate i don't think, but used for effect.

People who stay home and let ICE do its job? They don't get shot by ICE.

This is 100% how you know he's not here for a reasonable discussion. Using the word murder and framing it as such starts it off in bad faith.

To top it off there were all of 2 replies before he decided to pop off. TBS who just did his usual and Floyd who said he stated his opinion in other threads. Hardly what I'd call unwelcome or irrational discussion.

Dude's a poser. It's probably better to not pay attention to his sorry ass. He's just here to play pretend that he's better than everyone else.

By the way, I say that with conviction because his father said he owned a gun but he never carried it. Otherwise I might believe that he was just doing what he did every day.

One of the things you learn or should learn about carrying a gun for protection. When you are carrying it behooves you to avoid potential conflicts. Really you should do that anyway, but especially if you are armed. And especially if you are going somewhere specifically to mix it up with someone.

I never leave the house without being strapped. Legal CCWP. I avoid trouble and conflict like I avoid venomous snakes… always.

Of course he didn’t. He went looking for an altercation…and decided poorly to bring his gun with him.

Those that carry avoid altercation at all costs.

This ill advised person thought he’d be “ready”…and now he’s dead. Completely and totally avoidable.

If the guy was a competent gun carrier he would have complied with the initial order, put his hands on his head and told the agents “I’m complying, I’m armed, I have a weapon, it’s on my belt. Tell me what to do”
Is he required by law to do that?
No, not at all. Most states do not require that.
Would it have potentially saved his life?
More than likely would have. I can almost guarantee it.
If he would have done what they initially asked him to it probably would’ve been over.
The guy had at least 5 agents on him, that means he ignored the orders to stop whatever it was initially and things escalated quickly to a point he stopped thinking and was just reacting. Very dangerous if you are armed and they don’t know it.
Super dangerous if there is 5-6 of them and they are all armed and their adrenaline is pumping because you did not want to play nice and comply for whatever reason..
People who don’t think with clarity under stress probably should not carry weapons.
For everyone’s sake including their own.
It is crystal clear that things have gotten serious. If you don’t want bad things to potentially happen, stay out of their way, it’s illegal for you to impede them in any way..
Choose not to be a dumbass and live

things I took note of in conceal carry class

1. Don’t carry if you have trouble regulating your emotions or know your going going to to a situation that expecting to start confronting ration. Pretty was using the ICE watch app and using the Signal app to receive realtime alerts of ICE location.

2. The possession of a firearm while engage in a felony results in mandatory minimum sentencing. See above. Recording an ice officer during an operation from 1 foot away is not a protected right and inserting yourself between a federal office and someone who actively engaged with ICE is felony obstruction. You can record from a reasonable distance. You don’t get to decide what’s reasonable. The suspect literally escapes as a result.

3. Do not resist arrest while in possession of a firearm. Nothing that I’ve stated is in dispute from video evidence. The argument that 1 officer had removed the pistol before the shooting may be legitimate fact, but because of the self created chaos the Pretti caused ther was no way for officers other officers to know that. Any law enforcement officer who’s wrestling with a suspect and a weapon is lose and the suspect is noncompliant, has the ability to kill an officer. This is a clean shoot IMHO. These officers don’t have the luxury or computer stabilized and frame by frame analysis capability for several days at resting heart rate levels. Pretti made a whole lot of bad choices that day and it caught up with him.

I think the picture might be AI, the one cop has no head (unless it's contorted backwards weirdly). IDK.
But the video clearly shows one cop moving away after taking his gun off him, who probably told the other cops he was armed, the guy is resisting arrest and trying to get his hand back to where his holster is. It's so mind blowing that lefties can't understand the horrible situation the guy created for himself.
You have thousands of these whack jobs in a giant mob filled with tons of people that would absolutely kill these ICE agents if they could, which everyone knows and is on their mind 24/7. They are screaming at ICE agents who are deporting people that have scammed 10 billion from their own state. I hate these people so much and at this point I'm glad they are dying.
 
I had about 10 minutes to do nothing but waste that time of my life so I watched the video in the OP so you don't have to.

As most would have suspected; coming from the source, it's a bunch of shitlib propaganda slop.
The video starts off with the guy saying he doesn't want to discuss the actual events, then goes on to talk about the events using all the shitlib talking points.
ICE initiated the confrontation.
the guy was just helping a woman assaulted by ICE.
ICE beats then murders him.
ICE probably took the gun off the guy's corpse.

Then he breaks off into a rant about ICE agents are just soldier wannabes and ICE will hire anyone with a proud-boy card

After that he makes what I suspect would be the actual "point" of his video. Basically being all pissed off that "guy guys"are saying the shooting was justified because the guy had a gun.
He goes off on that for a few minutes with some dumbass scenario of just because you're carrying a gun it should be okay for ICE to come up an shoot you.

He then finally starts to wrap up the video by insulting gun owners who support ICE
Saying owning a gun and supporting ICE is a substitute for their masculinity
He'll ban people from his channel who say ICE was justified he had a gun
Takes that further and says those people should also be kicked out the country
Calling them bootlickers <--- this appears to be the newest term

Like I said, shitlib propaganda slop.

Of course this is Escapade's intro to have a reasonable discussion with gun owners and the dude in the video's perspective is "worth some serious thought." Give me a break. Woke Georgy Lynch wasn't here to actually have a conversation. He just wanted to do what he always does; flaunt his perceived moral superiority, pitch a fit that everyone is unreasonable the moment someone has a though outside his bubble, decry he's never setting foot in OTC again running off like a little butch-boy, then comes back in with another dumbass hot take. Rinse & repeat.
 
As a retired nurse, I’m having real confusion about why this man brought a loaded firearm to a protest. For protection - for who and from whom??? Premeditated intent screams volumes. Everything encumbers a nursing a license with the exception of minor traffic violations. Why are healthcare professionals losing their minds all of a sudden to sacrifice the careers for something with zero and and/or negative return???
