Guys on TGP spend thousands and thousands for this tone.

Actually, I see guys on TGP spend thousands and NOT get tone as good as this.

That clip would have been awesome, but that purple pick is destroying his tone. Should have used a black pick, which would have matched his shirt, creating a symbiosis of tone generating colors. :D

I disagree. Using a black pick would have created a one dimensional sound. The purple offsets the black shirt and creates different frequencies and overtones that an all black setup could never achieve. Same reason two different speakers are used in a combo amp.

I have charts and spreadsheets for this somewhere. Extensive testing was done.

I've seen a bunch of this guys clips and he's never gotten a bad tone out of any amp. Just goes to show, it's in the hands.....I mean the pick. :D

He has great tone because he has his mic sitting on top of a box instead of being in a mic stand. Everyone knows the box creates a more desired tone than stand. I also thing the behringer personal mixer is adding some flavor.

Hey Olaf,
Have you ever played/checked out a real Dumble ODS?
Cheers,
Mike
Hi Mike, how are you?

No, not yet. Not even a trainwreck (just built me myself a clone and immediately modded it after I've played it for 30 minutes :D )

Gregor (the guy in the vid) is a dealer for booteek and vintage stuff. Normally he's using an old Fender and an Okko Diable (or similar) to get these sounds, which are always very similar because thats what his customers seem to like & buy. He pays the cameraman for the vids (has hundreds now) and also gigs/records a lot in this genre.

Oh, and live he's using (AFAIK) old Kitty Hawk Custom amps.

What kind of hair gel is he using? If he's using a wax that hinders the guitar from resonating a lot

He needs the TGP strap to get ultimate tone, as he is strapless he is lost...

Funny, because I've seen guys here spend mega $$$ chasing 80s hair metal tone. Just sayin...

  I like his tone better from the $700 Mesa Maverick over the $40,000 Dumble.
Yeah, I like his Edwards P90 thru a Vibrolux clips the best, Danny.

Just wanted to show that he also deals with "TGP stuff" ampwise.
