GZ Add-a-Stage

This is really awesome.

Thinking about it for a dirty Shirley 40 this morning
 
That would be killer !

I have a guy interested in the amp, if he doesn’t buy it, I’m going for this.

What would you recommend?

I think I’d lean toward between stages:

“ Inserting Add-a-Stage between stages, such as before V2A in a Marshall, results in a tighter, leaner and more aggressive tone. The gain feels just a little higher and the attack is sharper. “

Yeah, I've tried it in a couple different types of amps. I've preferred inserted before V2A on both of them for sure.
 
Very cool! How do you think something like this would stack using this along the Legendary Tones Hot Mod “Mr. Scary” on V2 of a Plexi or JCM in the same amp?

Using both together? Never tried it but on a JCM you’ll have 5 gain stages and 4 on a Plexi. I’d think the Plexi setup would play nicer.

Okay cool, what do you think running the an Add A Stage with the Mr Scary on V2 would do? More gain or just add headroom?
