GZ Sniper iPhone audio clip

All this Plexi being mentioned stems from the plate driven tonestack which happens to be my favorite tonestack.
The PDT has the best feel also for that greasy side of Plexi while giving that rad gettin’ after it feel.

So I’ll ask the elephant in the room Q.

Is this a new design, Aldrich based, Snorkeler based. All of the above lol?

It sounds killer whatever it is! Love the clean up.

Good point on plate stacks. They do have that smoother, greasy feel.

It’s pretty much my own design. Not based on Aldrich or Snorkler at all. I’ve never found a conclusive schematic for the Aldrich nor have I ever attempted to build one. The Snorkler I never really researched too much until quite a while after I came up with the Sniper. Once I played one of the newer ones, I opened it and traced out the circuit. As with the Aldrich its pretty far apart from the Sniper.

The volume clean up is probably the best I’ve ever played. Even as you crank the gain to the highest settings it continues to clean up amazingly well.

Sounds like a big bag of dicks. Stick to your day job Jeremy.

I mean, if anyone knows what that sounds like, it has to be you. You are an expert on B’s of D’s.

The new mod Reza demoed. Where do that fit in between the MOAB and Sniper?

That one was actually my take on an SLO circuit. I have a mod that I’ve been doing on the BAD SLO that is killer. I need to make a clip of it. But that amp comes alive with some tweaks. I always hear, “who needs to mod a Soldano”, but for me at least, they are loose and flubby in stock form and the gain is unusable past 6. The mod changes all that. And adds some cool features like a 3 way depth and a NFB control on back, in the line out holes.

@RedPlated yeah cause I owned a bunch of those Ground Zero amps. The good ones have the old logo.

Very cool. The 4gs plate driven tone stack has so many possibilities, good job on that!
