You read that right! The MT15 is way too goddamn dark. I returned it in like 5 days. Even eq'ing the thing still didn't do it for me. The presence and mids had to be at 3-4:00 or it was very dark/woofy and i found my 6505mh and the HK was easily gainier. I had a hard time dialing in the HK because it a lot brighter but by day 2 (I got it late the previous day) i was like daaamn! Warning: the amp can be too sharp unless the presence is off or under 9:00. I run an overdrive lightly in front and eq the effects loop like i do everything. Seems most amps needs less 400hz and more 3.2khz and more low bass around 100 also, imo. Try it out but you don't want bright treble speakers, something clear with good bass, slightly scooped mids...

Is it really surprising that you like an amp that cost almost twice as much as the other? ?

Is it no longer ok to turn amp knobs in both directions to fully utilize the max of what they do and don't do? Not every amp is ideal with everything at noon.

I had a problem with it being too sharp up loud but i tweaked it differently and now i like it even more ???Only paid $800 also!

I agree, the MT15 is voiced dark...but I was definitely able to cure that.
The H&K Meister line is nice, but compared to the MT15 it has EL84s...sounds quite hifi, and I've heard of some reliability issues with them.
I'd probably get along just fine with one though. Maybe I'll add one to the stable one day.
