The Yanks and Red Sox both suck. :D

The Blue Jays are gonna win that division this year. Roy Halladay > any pitcher on the Yanks or Sox.

We can officially put an asterisk on the 04 and 07 Series. I'm glad that FINALLY, a high profile Sox player takes the hit.

But, it's yet another black eye for baseball.

This whole steroid shit is so out of control. You have to put an asterisk on every player from this whole era of baseball. It's impossible to say who's been clean and who hasn't. They need a zero tolerance policy to fix this. You get caught once and you're out of the game for good.
I would agree with that but it is funny to watch the pathetic attempts of yankee fans to discredit the Red Sox dominance this decade..

Just a word to address the idea that Red Sox WS victories would be tarnished by Manny's use of a banned substance..
Manny Ramirez never tested positive for any banned substance during his time as a Red Sox. Not in '04 or in '07.
As a matter of fact, no Red Sox player has since the new manangement has been set in place.

For every non-steriod using Sox player, there's several documented Yankee players that have used steriods and banned substances during championship years. ;) The mitchell report should have had pinstripes on the cover for christ's sake.

And how many times has Arod tested for Roids by the leaue? ZERO. The 03 test was SUPPOSED to be kept private.

And still i see denial on your part as most every Sox fan has been about roids, thinking your team has been clean. I know Sox fans are liking this Manny thing because he's not on your team, well Clemens wasn't on the Yankees when his roid soap opera went on but still, the Yanks took all the flack for that. It's interesting to see how Sox fans are deflecting the roids issue with Manny over to the Dodgers.

Again, the Mitchell report was a joke, and i'd LOVE to see the rest of the 03 test. I'm sure you'd see some more of your 04 idiots on the list.

HOWEVER. Let's agree on this. Baseball didn't care for years, the players are still getting their millions, and as long as a player performs then fans forgive. Arod, Giambi, Sheffield, Tejada....they'll hit homers this year and fans will cheer. If baseball
knew that knew that nodoby would be caught they'd look the other way. They DID look the other way for years. It goes back to the 94 strike. The sport needed people to come back to the stadiums and home runs brought them back, and they didn't care.

And really fuck it, there's soo many players on roids it's almost a level playing field anyway.
Make all the excuses you want man but I recommend thinking things through for a minute before you jump on the net and look like a 'tard.
You were claiming that the Sox championships were somehow tainted because of what manny was banned for TODAY.
No one's gonna follow you there man, sorry...

Further proof Manny didn't use when as a member of the Red Sox?
In Manny's last two season with the Red Sox he hit 20 Homeruns '07 & '08,
If he was using steriods I think he might want to get his money back :D

Your funny, and completey fooling yourself if you think this was his ONLY incident. Where have you been? Manny is giving the same lame excuse that every other player has been giving.

And nobody's following me? Take a look around at what the REST of the world outside of New England is saying

Again, how many times was Arod caught doing Roids? Are you going to sit there and believe the horseshit that these players feed you?
Of course no one knows but there has been testing in place for years that was not random in nature.
The problem is that you are making an argument that cannot be proven just to make yourself feel better about your crappy blaoted over paid team...

I enjoyed watching your $140,000 million team get beat by a $40 million dollar team last year.  I'll enjoy it again, those guys own your team.

Greinke is the best pitcher the league this year. I will be shocked if he doesn't win the Cy Young. I just like Halladay a lot because he pitches a ton of innings and has dominating stuff.

EDIT: I would love to see the Royals make the playoffs this year. I might starting cheering for them along with the A's.

You're putting too much emphasis on money just like you're cursed team...
Baseball has changed man. I guess the Marlins beating the Yankees in the WS in '03 wasnt a wake up call was it?

It's not about money you spend. The Yankees prove that every year as the franchaise is flushed down the toliet.
It's is now impossible for the Yankees to get value on any free agent player and their scouting is apparently sub-par at best..

The Red Sox spend nearly as much as the Yankees do. If baseball had a salary cap then we would see teams like the Yankees and Red Sox really suffer. I can't wait until the day that finally happens...if it ever does.

No way that will ever happen. Once again, the fucking stupid players union will never allow it. The players are reaping way too many benefits for them to ever consider a salary cap.

Dude... Lay off the Sox hatred - every time something comes up, you go off 6-guns blazing like a rabid raccoon. I don't know where you see all of the appologists. Manny got caught doing something he shouldn't have. He's also passed a ton of drug tests. Did he juice in '04 or '07? No more than ARoid or Clemens... ARoid and Pettitte both admitted to "one time in band camp, I shoved steroids up my pu$$y." That's as much proof as I need.

Here is a wager -
Over the last 15 years, any team that has won a World Series has had AT LEAST 3-5 players juicing. The losing team has also had AT LEAST 3-5.

How come all theses so called small markets teams that are reaping the benefits arent putting the money back into their teams
The owner of the twins who just recently passed away was one of the richest men in the country yet he put a team out there with a 40 million dollar payroll and let Santana walk away..
The Red Sox would not suffer if there was a cap. Look at how many young great players have come through their system.
The have the scouting and the know-how to compete. How many other teams have a guy to predict players futures by analyzing stats on their payroll?

sexual enhancement drugs for Manny...

who would have thought that for guy who gets so much good wood on the ball in baseball can 'tget get good wood in the bedroom? I guess the fuckin he gave to Boston wore his ass out and made him limp...

By your logic we would have to probably take away every yankee championship in the last 30 years...

Sure, i guess you missed all the flack the Yanks have taken since the Mitchell report? House That Roids built! etc etc. Sox fans have been dishing it out, prepare to take it. Mitchell report was a joke though, the guy was ON the Sox payroll and no current Sox were named on it, while about 20 Yankees were!

And how many big home run hitters were on the 98 Yanks? And 30 years? If you read into a lot of it, most of steroid breadcrumbs lead back to that A's team with Canseco and Big Mac. Turns out Canseco was telling the truth all along.

Now, would you still be suprised if Ortiz failed a drug test? I say, let's hear who the other 103 players are from 2003.
Missed the Flak? Hell no   It was warranted. the Yankee management were tripping all over themselves to get these 'roided up players before the hammer came down...
The problem with the dishing out part (on your behalf) is that you've got nothing. NOTHING AT ALL...
That was kind of my whole point of responding to your silly ass post in the first place. You just werent making any sense.

Before this Manny thing you could go to any baseball forum where a Yankee/Sox arguemant takes place and look at EVERY Sox fan flat out deny that any of the precious idiots ever did roids.

And who markets the players, who sells them? The agents. Do you think Scott Boras could care if any of his players are on roids? Of course not.
But that's where you miss the point again...Let me see if I can hammer it home once again :scared:
There is no Proof Manny did Roids before his Contract with the Dodgers...To be even more to the point, there's no proof he even did 'Roids at all last year.

Ok let's follow your logic. There's NO proof Arod ever did roids. And there's NO proof that ANY players on the Mitchell report did roids either. Did you read what the report was formulated from? It was a list of names from 2 trainers that, oh suprise, happened to work in New York. There was no proof, just names given to Mitchell.

So going by your logic, there's NO flat out proof that any Yankee, besides Giambi, did roids.
No proof Arod did roids? Hey dumbass he actually admitted to it.. Where the fuck were you?

A-Roid definitely did roids...and I'm sure he used them WAY more than he admitted to.

The Red Sox are a great team, but if the league had a salary cap that wasn't insanely high, they wouldn't be nearly as great. You would see a lot of other teams be able to compete at a higher level and the playing field would be more even...assuming either everyone or no one is on roids.

It's been all long time coming for sox fans though. They've endured alot of years were their team fell just short but they were always there. Certainly not like some of the fair weather fans of other teams..

The Red Sox organization (management) has been really mediocre for a long time.
The Sox currently have a management that can do no wrong. They've made all the right moves and haven't played the Yankee's game when it comes to free agents. They set a value and stick to their guns. Most of their emphasis is on developing their prospects. This formula has proven to work.

They deserved those Championships in '04 and '07 and are in great shape to win more.
For once the team is deep in pitching and has great defense.
I guess I take offense to the notion that they've somehow cheated towards this success.
I know we're both passionate about our home teams and I would expect you to take offense to my trash talk as well.
It's all good! :)

The Yankees are already a gigantic disappointment this year. I don't care if it's only May. Looking at that lineup and pitching staff, they should be raping everyone they play. They could turn it around, but I dunno, they just don't seem like the same old Yankees. Plus that new stadium is like Coors Field V2.

The best we can do is HOPE that the roids issue is under control. It's obvious now that it's been widespread and hopefully with guys like Arod and Manny under the microscope, it will send the right message.

And as far as the Yanks. I don't understand how Brian Cashman still has a job. He's clueless! He didn't build the great teams of the late 90's and anyone can throw money around. With the dimished presence of George Steinbrenner it seems there's something missing. But if they miss the playoffs heads will roll and Girardi and Cashman will go. And they need to slash payroll, Jeter doesn't deserve 20 million a year, even though he's still a very good player.
