Hard to believe today marks 13 years since Jeff passed. Jeff definitely left his mark on this world and on music, where he and his memory lives on.

A few favorites of mine on YT :

"Where do I begin with this upload....???? There have been rumors swirling around for decades about what is arguably the most awesome bootleg recording of a Slayer gig, a gig which just so happened to be Slayer's first San Diego headlining show at Adams Avenue Theater.... Well I'm here to tell you that THE RUMOR IS TRUE!!!! It is I, who at the time was a humble, mild mannered, aspiring thrash metal musician from the smelly bowels of Chula Vista, who managed to record the Slayer performance from the actual soundboard itself, who possesses the original copy of this most prized mother of all bootlegs!!!! From what I was told, there were other punters who were taping this show that evening, and somehow the Slayer manager got wind of this and confiscated the tapes from at least 3 bootleggers.... I knew the soundman who was working this gig, asked him if I could patch my tape deck into the soundboard to record the performance of my band Legion (we were one of the opening bands....). I also had the brilliant idea of recording D.R.I. and Slayer, and lo and behold, what you're about to hear is the end result of a most memorable evening (a little polishing with pro tools EQ).... A crazy night indeed, Slayer almost bailed on this show, due to financial issues with Ken, the Sodomatic Death promoter.... Balcony diver crashing through the stage.... Jeff Hannemans (R.I.P.) amp apparently blowing out midway through "Fight til Death", which led to him playing bass for the rest of the show, while Tom Araya showed his lead singing and posing skills sans bass...."

The spider bite plus treatment/medications are really what did him in. I'll stand by that. Bro just drank beer and thrashed. Also a pure BC Rich band in their early best days.
