I just got this Vola Oz Roa V3 and it is an absolute beast of a Guitar. I discovered this brand a couple years ago when I was at Nam, but they just look so damn expensive that I decided to not even pick one up to try it out. Little did I know how affordable they are.
I was looking for a super Strat style Guitar with Gotoh hardware including locking tuners and a roasted maple neck.
The action is pretty darn perfect. All I did was change out the strings to a set of Ernie Ball super slinky’s and I was off to the races.
The only negatives are that the guitar seems a little bright, but I can tame that with EQ my amp or rolling back to tone knob a hair. And the strap lock at the base of the guitar is in an awkward position. But besides that, it’s an absolute smoker. The neck is a comfy sea and feels incredibly comfortable. Not too thin and not too fat. It’s kind of like an old Strat neck.
The neck pickup is absolute pristine liquid lead tone. I’m still undecided on the bridge, but I could easily not swap it out and be more than happy.
I can’t believe these don’t get talked about more. What an amazing guitar for the price!
