Has anyone heard from Motor City Pickups lately?

About 2 weeks ago, Wade sent me an email saying that the pickups I ordered were being finished and he was printing shipping labels for them. I sent two follow up emails to make sure that they weren’t lost in transit and I have heard nothing.

Has anyone talked to Wade lately? He’s usually very responsive.

He has been catching up with orders, after dealing with tax season, etc. Rest assured, he will get them to you.

I have some inbound, too.

This is why I don't order MCP. FWIW, I had a set of Detroiters and liked them. Hated the Afwayu I tried. Order from Wolfetone or WCR and you get them before the week is over. I haven't liked any BKP's that I've tried.........but at least when I've ordered direct I've received them in about 10 days.

The Wolfetone Marshallheads that I got for my LP are the best pickups I've ever used. Should have a BlisterBucker for my other LP by weeks end.

Custom pickups...they take as long as they take. I've bought BKP (Crawlers, terrific piece of gear), Manlius, Novak, Wilde/Bill Lawrence, BG Pickups, they all have a little different time with a wide range of communication. If you want satisfaction now you need to find a retailer with gear in stock.

Manlius is great to deal with. He told me two week and I had them at my house in a little over 1 week. The Asphalt he makes is an incredible pup.

I would like to try the Marshallhead. I have a Wolfetone Dr Vintage in my Les Paul and it sounds and feels great!!

I got my Angel Dust set and a AD neck on Friday.

Yep, the Asphalts are damn good pickups!! I have a set in my Edwards LP.

I wasn't trying to stir the pot - I was just surprised that I haven't heard anything back after it sounded as if my pickups were out the door. No worries. I was expecting a bit of a wait anyway.

I have a set of Fat Dianes in an SG and while the guitar isn't great, the pickups are terrific. I should put them in something else.

I would recommend Manlius to anyone. Great pickups espeically for the price and lead time!! Anyone who likes a JB style pickup or very hot PAF pickup would love the Asphalts. I also have a Super 70's clone that is pretty cool.
