Little bit of Guthrie goes a long way for me! He's just too good and precise for long term listening. I prefer players with more "dirt" in their playing like Andy Timmons, Richie Kotzen, Jeff Beck, Scott Henderson, and newer guys like Pete Thorn and Tom Quale. :thumbsup:

Still not clear to me how he obtained your email/contact details without being a registered user.
 
The way i see it, if people are allowed to say batio is an arcade game, then it is alright for others to be of the opinion that guthrie lacks soul. i think both are fantastic players but i'd still listen to shenker over them any day of the week. I'm surprised nobody sent me email for saying i didn't see what the big deal about Jeff Beck was???

As busy as Reza is, I remember asking about how a certain amp sounded, and Reza messages me about it. Then an hour or so later he put up a clip of the things I was asking about.

GG is cool in his own way. Not a way I get a great passion to listen to. We are still allowed to have an opinion. Vai is a phenomenal fingerboard gymnast. Just not as commercially popular as Angus. And I would rather listen to Angus.

I totally disagree about anything negative towards Guthrie's playing but about a year or 2 ago I said that Devin Townsend had as much song writing chops and Guthrie had guitar chops and someone totally jumped all over me, and went to belittle Devin Townsend. It's probably the same guy. While I think Guthrie's GUITAR playing is incredible, who really cares that much if someone else doesn't agree.
 
I guess if you are entitled to say Govan is sterile, that dude is entitled to send you what he wrote. I don't agree with either but w/e.

Different in that Rez owned his opinion, and this dude went out of his way to hide his identity.

Again, lack of conviction. People that won't stand up for their opinions really shouldn't just out with them.

It's just an opinion. Nothing more. You inferred I was a kid once just cause I posted a clip with a boosted Diezel. You were flabbergasted I boosted a Diezel! That was your opinion and that's fine. I don't agree but so what. It's all good. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Hell, I even said I did t agree with the dude, and now I "endorse his behavior"? Nah... This is all silly anyway.
