Just an open discussion why we don’t see ampfests anymore and my perspective that close enough really is good enough for most it seems?
Never been to an amp fest. Heard people on RT talk about past ones some members put together. What are they all about?
When we have amp fests, it is my goal to have my amp beat by another amp. I have played some great amps.
I am going to go ahead and agree with you here. Dan Travis is a mod and is a known En Vogue fan.The number of neo-soul guitar lover's here has basically killed the high gain amp love that used to be a identifying trait of this forum. Even mods have PRS on rig talk now.
I liked free your mind a lot as a childI am going to go ahead and agree with you here. Dan Travis is a mod and is a known En Vogue fan.
Sure. But it really isnt the same. Youtube does so little to let you experience the ampI would say if anything killed AmpFests, it would be YouTube.
Why drive and find other people when you can just watch people play all the rare amps at any time you choose?
We would love to have you.most of the ampfests have been too far away from me; besides, I'm happy with my amps I don't need more GAS...next thing I know I'll be wanting wizzzers, headfirsts and larrys, etc, ...![]()
Iced Soul is one of his favorite groups. He's posted about that band a bunch of times.I am going to go ahead and agree with you here. Dan Travis is a mod and is a known En Vogue fan.
