Having trouble grasping the Fortin Natas

I emailed Mike a week or so ago about the Natas and haven't heard back. He usually gets back to me super fast. Maybe he didn't receive the email. I was saying that instead of sending him my JMP I will just order a Natas but I don't know much about the amp.

Yeah, I'm sure he must've not gotten because he's spot on with returning emails. I'd know, I've sent him enough of them asking questions  :D . He did make a comment in one stating he had been having email troubles.

Next year I will sell the MK IV to help fund the Natas when it is in production.

The hammer is finally dropping on your IV.

I have a feeling next year is going to hit me heavy in the wallet amp wise. To make it worse I'm enjoying all the amps I currently have and don't want to sell any for fundraising purposes.

Yup, almost 5 years I have had it but it is time to go unless something else frees up some cash. The shock of getting it to cut with a tone that I enjoyed was the reason and now understand what others have been saying  Still dig it but my tastes have changed to more marshall type voicings.

Jason,
I never got your email :aww: I always try to get back to emails asap. If that ever happens and I don't respond within 24 hours, it's because I didn't get it. You can always reach me at 631-626-5962
Cheers,
Mike

Tha Natas sounds sick. Mike's mods are killer. What to do, what to do...

Here is the email Mike sent me. Sounds like the amp is going to be killer.

The Natas quick overview is 2 channel all out Metal amp. That JCM800 Hulk
amp is only a shadow of what the Natas will do. Separate OD and Clean
channel, 2 footswitchable modes in the OD, same loop as the Bones and
Meathead and same output biasing configuration. It will look very much like
the Bones amp except 2 channel, the control panels will be red anodized
brushed aluminum with white lettering and red logo. It will do 200 watts rms
loaded with 4 KT88s. It will be a super fast responding amp, handle insane
amounts of distortion while retaining unmatched clarity. I'm using a core
material in the OT that has never been used in MI guitar amps. I'm looking
forward to get this product out because it will truly be a unique amp and

one that is completely geared for extreme metal applications.

Cats out of the bag now

This is why I am getting my mod done now as Mike is going ot be real busy soon, this may read like a ton of hype but after playing the meathead and Bones and speaking with Mike I am expecting exactly what you posted

Ooh lord. Looks like that new garage door is going to have to wait until after new years :D I love the idea of the red anodized face plate too.

Mike,

Any news on the Natas? I'm super excited for this amplifier and I want to get my hands on one, quick.

When can I put down the loot?

So still kicking around my future Fortin purchuse and the other thing left to really mull over is the Natas. The thing that has me stumped is how much more this amp can be in regards to the level of gain compared to what I have heard or played so far from Mike. I played the Meathead on channels 5 and 6 and that was enough to bring down small buildings but maintained articulation.

Heard the Hulk for an hour and that was awesome but the Natas is bringing different trannies and other odds and ends so not really the same.

How much more can the Natas bring??? Just not grasping this I guess.

I know right? When I have the Bones with extra gain stage kicked in and the amp fairly cranked, I can't stand within 10' of the amp without some monster feedback. A gate fixes that somewhat. But, I can't imagine the gobs of gain in a Natas being that much more.

As for the transformer, I thought the 600V one in the Bones is the same one Mike was going to use in the Natas. I may be wrong here though.

Tone Merchants will be carrying the Fortin amps. I cant wait to dive into the meathead. That will probably be a 20 minute youtube video demo

Congrats to you Rob for carrying the line and congrats to Mike for getting them on the retail market. Better hire a couple of people!

The amp is definitely coming out, but its going to be quite a while.

Steve

Totally different transformer. It's exclusive to the Natas and this amp only.
