Having trouble grasping the Fortin Natas

Any news on the Natas? I'm super excited for this amplifier and I want to get my hands on one, quick.

When can I put down the loot?

Thanks for interest Unfortunately due to my current work load, the Natas has been pushed back. Orders are taking priority at the moment. I will update my website as to the next projection.

As for the transformer, I thought the 600V one in the Bones is the same one Mike was going to use in the Natas. I may be wrong here though.

Totally different transformer. It's exclusive to the Natas and this amp only.

Gary is correct. The Natas has a different output transformer design and choke design from any of the other models. After the prototype is build and tested, the power transformer might a different core material as well.....we'll see As a side note, the Bones has a different output transformer design than the Meathead has as well

I still dont grasp the insanity of this amp

It would be like going from driving your Mustang and then jumping into a Bugatti VEYRON

If any Fortin amp was available "NOW" I'd buy one..I still want a Meathead in the worst way but...in limbo and in the process of moving. Not sure where I'm going to be during the build time wait...

I am thankful for that as it is the most cutting edge design I've tackled to date.
He's had dibs on the first production unit since day one.
With that said, I have not taken any of his money and will not take any deposits until the prototype has been tested fully.

Fortin Natas through a Mills Acoustics Afterburner 412B with V30's and G12K100's... mmmmm...

Mike, will you be including any kind of high-pass/low shelf in the preamp before the first gain stage to keep the amp super tight? I know the Engls are doing this.

I'm hoping this is the first amp I can retire my Maxon OD-820 pro for.

I'm actually writing a book about recording and if your amp is as br00tal as I think it will be, it's definitely getting its name carved into the top of the list for "must have" metal amplifiers.

How about red tolex as well as a red faceplate?

she is good to go! She wants me to have all my "tones" I need, according to her. I will say that our next trip to New York is going to have to wait another year or two! haha. Besides I'll be busy ripping up the road and getting the bands cd out for her to complain anyhow! so count me in for a Natas, considering I've been wanting one since we first talked about it a year ago! hahahahahaha She has had plenty of time to acclimate herself to the idea that I'm not a one amp kinda guy!
