My gift to you this holiday season

:) I remember seeing that before and dying. :)

With that said, the BCP guitarist with the Strat had some tasty licks and great tone!
Indeed! The white-explorer guy was pretty decent too.

Also, didn't know Gordon Ramsay was a parttime bassplayer (2m10s).

And the guy with the urban camo shirt sounds like a German Rob Halford!

Everything that was wrong about the 80's in that tune/ vid. A bunch of guys jerking off. Unlistenable dogshit. At least Yngwie put his stamp on it. Brilliant mix of melody/ speed.

I think you were watching another video

I so much hope for a rerelease. Only have it in records.

You have to be a hipster from Oregon, drinking a Latte near a recycling center and plucking a Lute. There is no other explanation why that metal onslaught didn't put a quiver in your soul.

From NY. Never drink Latte. Just sounds like alot of the 80's wanking

well the guitars..of course...but the vocals are definitely very cool. Dave has such a powerful controlled voice that just sounds big!

Yngwie, Lynch, and Vivian Campbell were the best to me.

That has to be the first ever sighting of a bugera inside of a studio.

Those who don't understand this, isn't old enough to have lived it. Good times those days. Just great rock playing. Not a bunch of down tuned muddy guitar tones where every riff sounds the same and no one can play a lead to save their life!

Right, those tuned down muddy guitar tones of, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page , Rory Gallagher, Ronnie Montrose, Pat Travers, Pete Townshend, Tommy Bolin, Tony Iommi etc.

As far as the guy saying I hate VH, I saw them in '78, opening for Sabbath.

You do realise that he wasn't talking about THAT age of guitarists, right?

:) I was just messing with ya. :D I lived thru that era so has a special place.

With that said, there was a lot of crap that came out then too.

Love being a teenager growing up through this era and loved this tune!

It's just Carl.

I still watch this vid regularly.

1. YJM plays one phrase and lays waste to the whole pack. (and I'm a huge Lynch fan)
2. Shortino delivers my favorite verse performance.
3. Listen carefully to Halford's SKY HIGH harmony in the ending choruses. Christ, he was awesome.
4. I was the world's biggest Queensryche fan back in the day...but Tate decked out in his Crocket-n-Tubbs sounds like he's starting a honda
5. This would have been immensly more interesting if the players could have used their own rigs/sound. Everyone sounds like they're playing a Tubescreamer through a Laney AOR...and it sorta kills it.
6. Why is Murray and Smith in the video when their solo isn't?

Some really good points here... some of the guys sound like they recorded direct to the board. Horrid tone.

Adrian and Dave are actually in the vid. You hear them in the chorus. They fill out the background part. They were never meant to rip solos I don't think though I feel Adrian would have had the one choppy melodic style that would have fit in better than any of these guys apart from Lynch, Yngwie, and Campbell.
