The close up at 14:53 looks pretty scary, but a lot of older Mesa Boogies look similar.

sure doesn't look pretty, but the flux doesn't bridge anything, so if it attracts moisture and get's leaky it doesn't matter at all.
watched part 2, too and the guy talks about the asymmetrical diode clipping of the JCM800. yeah sure, he knows what he is talking about
Also not sure the diezels have diode clipping like he goes on and on...
