Hegseth is just fucking weird. What's that dude compensating for?

Is he gonna take the test? And publish the unaltered results? Of course not.

Ya, I know what HIPAA is. You can voluntarily release info, just like when Trump reminds us he passed the dementia test 3 (count 'em - THREE!!11!!) times. Well, four if you count his first term. Person, woman, man, camera, tv. Covfefe.

What exactly is weird about him? He served a couple decades in the guard, rose to the rank of major, saw combat in Iraq, and received two bronze stars.

What's weird is that Dan is so obsessed with making sure everyone knows he's a veteran, yet takes every chance he can get to bash another veteran. Doesn't make a lick of sense. It's all because he hates Trump.

Just so everyone knows, because I didn't until I checked, he got his bronze stars NOT for bravery but for "meritorious achievement". I have no idea what qualifies for meritorious achievement. Shined shoes, a clean latrine and an ability to say "yes sir"?

What I don't like about him is (and I'm gonna copy and paste since it's better written than I could come up with) this:

Hegseth has drawn criticism during his tenure as Secretary of Defense for a variety of actions such as: the fallout from a leaked government group chat on Signal, alleged war crimes related to U.S. military strikes on alleged drug traffickers in the Caribbean Sea, promoting Christianity inside the military, using unmarked military planes for boat strikes, and the use of force and the rules of engagement in the 2026 Iran war.

The guy rings out as an asshole - just add booze.

Good afternoon James.

A meritorious achievement for a Bronze Star is a single, specific, and outstanding act of merit. It must happen in a designated combat zone while you are fighting an enemy or facing an opposing force. [1, 2, 3]
The act must be highly exceptional but not quite as major as the acts needed for the Legion of Merit. It must stand out clearly above what is usually expected from a person of your rank and experience. [1, 2]
