What an amp. I have owned a number of Bogners and this one really gets my juices flowing. I always liked the Plexi mode on the Ecstasy. Ch 1 on the Helios is a slightly hotter version with a lot more going. More touch sensitive and dynamic. In the lower gain plexi setting, this channel dimmed is something. I think the Videos online with Tristen really capture what this amp can do.
Some complain about this amps lack of flexibility when it comes to channel switching. Personally I don't care. I don't bounce around between channels when I play live. A good rock tone with a few boost pedals if needed. This amp can make use of the FX loop as a boost.
Anyway, more to come but I knew this was way more in the Marshall camp when it sounded good through my old JCM800 4x12 with 75s. What an in-yo-face marshall roar that was. My ears are still ringing.
