you have a Helix?I have a Kemper and was surprised how good the amps sound, and they also feel very similar to a real amp. I have the Kemper power rack, but man, that Helix sounds great!
I was A/B'ing my Helix and my BE-100. Ran the Helix into the return of my BE-100 and went back and forth between the amp and the Helix using my BE as power amp for both. I adjusted the Friedman model in the Helix to the exact same EQ and switches that i run my BE-100...
I'll just say that i ended up getting confused and was trying to tweak my helix and nothing was happening. That is because i was plugged into the amp at that time. I would say the Friedman model was about 95% there. Full out volume, i couldn't tell the difference at all. The difference came when rolling down the guitar volume. the BE just cleans up so well, while the Helix model does not. It did well with the main dynamics of my BE though. It's nice and sensitive to attack and all of that.
Anyway. I have the Helix for recording at home, but it's nice to know i can use it as a backup with a PowerAmp too.
