I've been going down the rabbit hole on the Stadium for awhile now. At first I thought I'd just stay with my tube amps and software plugins....but having the hardware is appealing.

When the Helix was first released, I was skeptical; when they released the LT, I got one...eventually sold it and got the Floor, and also the HX-Effects - all have been sold after the Stadium was announced.

Enjoying my Fractal VP4 (after buying and selling a FM9 Mark II Turbo).

I'm liking the Stadium vids and specs and plans..., and if I buy one it will be the XL.

Who has a Stadium? Thoughts?

I am curious about this. Why do you like the VP4 over the FM9?

At one of the ampfests I was at, there was a killer player and he played all of the amps, so He obviously appreciates tube amps. But he gigs with one of the line 6 iterations, so I would guess it is awesome for live.

I think if you are a bedroom hero like me, the tube may be the better situation unless you are limited by volume

I don't like the Helix tone.. I always wanted too but it seems to hi-fi and sterile to me... and it has no feel like my FM3. I actually like Headrush better than Helix and almost as much as Fractal. The Headrush is really raw like a real tube amp.

Well, I don't own the Stadium, but have a friend that has one and plays it through a Fender FR12, which I have played a bunch of times. I have owned practically all Fractal units, and currently own an Axe III and an AM4. I have only compared the IIC+ models from the Stadium and the AM4, and I prefer the one on the stadium by a wide margin, both the sound and the feel, and I own a bunch of mark amps including both an OG IIC+ and the reissue.

I’ve got a stadium I use into a QSC 10” speaker for church. The effects are about the same as the original helix. The Agoura amp models are really, really good. The proxy capture tech is really easy to use, and in the same quality ballpark as all the big players.

The user interface is extremely simple to use, and the touchscreen makes editing easy.

This is still a very new piece of gear though that will likely be updated a lot. The original helix received meaningful updates for a decade.
