It’s just a way of life. Grew up in the heat.

You know how you tell the native Floridians from the yanks who migrate down here? Shorts and flip flops.

The people who move here seem to think you are legally required to wear shorts and flip flops everywhere. The grocery store, a restaurant, the mall, the dmv, theater, you name it.

It is annoying to go into a nice restaurant and find a visitor sitting there displaying his thick, jacked up yellow fungus toenails with his left nut visible because he is not wearing underwear (apparently our visitors think underwear is optional here too because…. hey Florida).

My friends who grew up here and myself tend to wear long pants and closed toe shoes year round. Shorts and flip flops are for the beach/pool. I don’t even feel the heat.

I don't even own underwear and haven't worn any ANYwhere in like 30+ years. Even with a miniskirt. I can't even imagine how ripe genitalia must get in that swampland.
