Hey guys, I'm trying to help a friend of mine out with an old Bradshaw switcher. This is from the late-80s. It has 8 audio loops (send/return, and in/out) on the back of the unit, and it has an external loop on the front. I'm trying to figure out how to run some effects in the loop of the amp, and some infront. Can any of you tell if that's possible with this kind of switcher? From what I remember, you plug your guitar into the Input, and then your effects into the loops, and then the Output of the switcher goes into the In on your amp (so essentially, everything is in front of the amp). Is that right??

Or, is it with this kind of rig, the idea was to NOT use the amp's loop, and run everything in the audio loops of the switcher?

Here's a pic.

This rig was owned by Pat Buchanan of the Taylor Dane Band originally.

I can see on it where they had pedals on the top of the unit, so that tells you that it probably was used to switch them in and out from either the front or sends of the amps...I had a rs 10 and rack interface years ago, but Bob put in just what I needed, so theyre all different. A very popular option on the rack gear then was to have some loops made for using in front of the amp's input, and a few for the amps's effects loops...Bob probably knows the unit...You could give them a call @ Custom Audio Electronics...
