I came across a simple diode circuit schematic where two diodes (in series) get wired to the output tab of the MV pot and then to ground.
I tried it out with some alligator clips and it def drops the volume quite a bit, but it doesn’t seem to add much gain.
Am I doing something wrong? Are there other simple options I can try before busting out the soldering gun?
Also, for reference, my amp has a PPIMV, so if there is a way to clip the diodes there, that might be cool.
