Henning Bottle Rocket Amp... UPDATED 1/22!

I'm not feeling good about this "bottle rocket" idea. If there are no cherry bomb cutouts, what's the front grill going to look like? Maybe I need more info, but I doubt I'll change my mind. Steve, you need to consult the forum before moving forward with a decision like this. May be cool, I don't know?

How about an AC15 based amp called the Henning "Sparkler".

I think it would look great with a black faceplate and headshell much like a CCv . I dig the front panel control layout you have posted above. The footswitchable solo with saturation switch is an awesome feature.

OK, I couldn't wait... :D

So here is the reveal of the new name and logo for this amp. In keeping with my fireworks theme:

I have nothing to add really, I just wanted to post the picture as it wasn't quoted enough as of yet

Steve can - and should - proceed how he sees fit. Everyone else can decide to purchase this product or another one. Geesh.

That was meant as a joke Steve. It's a take on the movie Rockstar when "Izzy" shows up with a pierced eyebrow... I forgot to place a ;) at the end.

I knew it was a joke, man (didn't get the reference until now though... good one!) - I thought it was really funny.

So with the 2 gain controls is that going to basically allow one to dial in a more "Plex" channel
and in addition will it offer a slightly higher overdrive level , before the saturation circuit is engaged .capable of more gain than the current Cherry bomb if desired?

You'll be able to adjust the gain of the first two gain stages individually and also the two bright switches effect the gain as well. You could certainly dial in lots of lower gain sounds...

Yes, this is true as well...

This amp design is looking very cool! Steve can you elaborate on the two gain controls and bright switches?

I think Alex already has all the amps he could ever need! :D

needs bottle rocket cutouts like how the cherry bomb had cherry cutouts.

I think the bottle rocket name is great, as was the cherry bomb. a bit retro in logo design, which I think is cool as well. combined with the modern henning logo, it all makes sense. some classic tone meshed with modern day goodness, too.

the name bottle rocket alone makes perfect sense to me. a small tube amp that packs a punch....bottle rocket.....duh, no brainer with the fireworks theme.

I find it hilarious that people are giving grief to this amps NAME when we know it will be well built, sound great and be backed by a guy of Steve's rep...especially in an age of brown eyes, pink tacos, SATAN (I'm 14 and edgy), Krank, stiff, volt and whatnot. I think the name is clever.

you do you Steve, you do you...

I like the logo, the name...for all the reasons those voting "Aye" mentioned above.

i dig it. you have my blessings to proceed with your project.

Totally agree here! You know how many times I see new amp lines come out and how I shrug at how lame they are (already referred to above). I love the concept and graphics! Looking forward to this being ready to go.

Again, no one cares that the name Bottle Rocket is already taken by Mesa Boogie ? Albeit for a tube preamp pedal, but still....
