Hey fellow Diezel Herbert owners, I have some questions concerning use of channel 2 in the minus - mode with boost pedal, od pedal, to get some varied sounds. I'm setting up a rig with a FX1, Switchblade, rack of goodies (2290, Eclipse, SDE2500), but want to use some of my pedals as well. Pedals I own, and may/may not use include Boss DS1, SD1, DS2, BLUES DRIVER, Digitech BAD MONKEY & DOD YJM308 both modded by Analog Mike sounds really great). Ibanez TS9, Big Muff & Metal Zone all modded by Robert Keeley. I know some of these pedals can/will sound great with channel one as well, but just wondering who here uses pedals with channel 1 or 2 and your opinion of the results. I will slowly try these out when I can get some extra time. I also have a old ElectroHarmonix Small Stone phaser, and a ADA flanger that have both been done by Keeley and sound very fat with Herbert. Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy with Herbert with no pedals or effects, so easy to get so many great sounds, best amp I have ever had, I'm just wanting to tinker.

To me, using a pedal with any Diezel product takes away from the amp itself. This is my opinion only. Good luck on your tone quest.

I use mine with a OD-820 as a boost, and it sounds quite nice. Can be a pretty heavy channel if you boost it right, and nice thing about the - mode is it seems to articulate really well.

When I had my Herbert I dabbled boosting 2- with a stock Maxon 808 and got pretty decent results. I ultimately liked the amp untouched in the end though.

I use this channel with a tubescreamer moded by myself.
