Not sure what happened to my Herbert MK1, but it was fine yesterday but today it sounds like it has no power at all. I checked every cable, swapped some out, tried others, but it has very little to no volume and sounds and feels like it has very little power. Every channel does the same thing. It is connected to a few pedals, but I plugged the guitar straight into the amp with no pedals and it is still not working right. This is one of my favorite amps and hope it’s fixable. Has anyone experienced something like this? I’m planning to take it to an amp repair guy as soon as I’m able, but won’t be able to get it there for a bit.

I had the same issue 3 weeks ago. Turned out it was the output transformer. I got only low volume and the presence and deep control basically had no effect any more. With a new outout transformer it works perfect again.

Happy to hear that. Hopefully that’s all mine is. Is this an easy fix?

The output transformer is rather expensive. But a technician can fix it easily. Less than 1h work.

So what was the issue?
I’m embarrassed to say the issue was with me and not the amp. The amp tech looked it all over and said it it was perfect. Worked perfectly fine at his shop and it does now at my house. Turned out I was losing some power because I plugged it into a shared power strip that also had a bunch of other things plugged in. An amp of this power needs its own dedicated outlet. So, lesson learned!
