Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know the MIDI Port pin assignments?
I was planning to make a midicable that can power my engl Z12 (from 7 pins to 5 pins).

thanks for you help.

Somewhere in a thread I've explained the Engl-FS to Diezel thing for phantom . . .

I need a Diezel again - not to tell bullshit :D

 You have no Diezel?!?!

To make up for it I think you should send me a little Joe!

With a VH4 it is easier (PTP midi jacks) - so I would build a little box with two midi jacks and wire as described in the thread.
Herbie and the Bengl are both PCB-midi-based.

So PIN 6 and 7 have no function in the Diezel Herbert?

They are in parallel - because some units (US mostly) have phantom on those, while many euro units have just 5 PINs and phantom power . . .

@duesentrieb:

Yesterday I have tried my new midi cable that I made with your instruction.
But the phantom power didn't work, so i wonder what did I wrong? The midi part worked flawless.

I hope you have an answer.

thanks

are you really sure that your cable has all pins connected to each other?

Yes I have measure it with a digital multimeter, but I will do it again tonight to be sure.

I also will post the pin setting how I have solder it.

thx

Thanks for the reply,

How can I check if the fuse is ok?
