Herbert next week!!!!

Josh and Uwe have both confirmed the arrival and pending shipment of my new Herbert. It should go out early next week, which means I will be rockin by the weekend. I am really looking forward to getting this thing. I loved ny Einstein, I can't imagine how ecstatic I will be once I get the amp. Anyone use Les Pauls and PRS guitars through one?

I'll probably ask a million questions regarding useage on here, so get ready.

The Herbert (and my front-loaded x-pattern Diezel cab to match) were shipped out Tuesday and will arrive at the studio where I'm recording this coming Tuesday.

Perfect timing for my band's 25-day session, which starts that day. I was hoping to receive the Herb at least a week prior to the studio so that I'd have lots of time to discover tones, but our producer is quite handy with amps...and with a full week set up for guitar tracking (and one of the best amps in the world at our fingertips) I think we'll have plenty of time to come up with lots of great sounds.

Use the mid cut with the clean channel too. You'll be surprised how clean your LP can be

Cool, I will give that a shot and see how it sounds. From what I hear, I probably won't be using the mid-cut on too much else, as I hear that it brings you into "nu-metal" territory really fast. But I hear that this amp does just about everything tone-wise, so that makes it a great investment for me.

+1 i use the mid cut intensity set at about 8:30 to 9:00 on cleans and it is yummy !

I guess it depends on who is in line for them. Some of the local guys have some in stock or get them regularly. Josh (Rebel Amps) happened to have some on order, due to arrive within the month, and I bought one of those. I think I ordered in early July, so I probably sound like a wuss fretting over getting mine. I have heard of some guys waiting a long time. Maybe it depends on where Peter and co are as far as production of the amp and shipping, etc. Regardless, it sounds like mine should be here late next week.

yeah, I try to keep them on order all the time. Herbies seem the hardest for me to get. Only an einstein and a vh4 in right now...BTW peter, keep kickin ass dude. Love the products!

I wish I had. Mine may not have even left Salwender yet; they were supposed to send a tracking number to either me or Rebel Amps, but nothing so far. Not even sure now what's up, because I was told they were all going out Monday and Tuesday this week.

It can do nu-metal, but Midcut with Intensity and Level at around 13:30 brings you into AJFA-territory...not really "new" metal.

Yeah, really slow. I got an Einstein first about 5 months ago, so I think that counts for something.

Well, I have confirmation that mine IS on the way. Now I feel like a jerk for being so uptight about it getting to me; I was stressin'!!!! I think it should be here in a day or so, as it is coming from Southern California, and I am in Northern California. Can't wait..............

Just a few more hours. The amp is in Sacramento now, according to Fed Ex. It will get here sometime between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. tomorrow. I think I am going to have to be sedated in the mean time.
