I'm sure this question has been beaten to death by now....
but...
I'm debating whether or not my Vader 2x12 could be a huge factor in how I feel about my Herbert so far. I've spent a lot of time trying to get passed the "nameplate on the head needs to match the nameplate on the cab" mentality. Eminence Legends don't exactly have a lot of character though. I really love how they sound with my ENGLs, but maybe the Diezel/Vader combo just doesn't fit my chops. Vader is now offering cabs with Eminence Legends and Man o Wars in an X pattern. I'm going to throw some of those in one of mine and see if that makes a difference.
In the meantime....
I need some opinions on the Diezel cabs. I've seen a few people talk about how amazed they were when they got a Diezel cab, and how it completely changed their opinion of the head. I play mostly Black/Death metal. It's not the deathcore sloppy nonsense that's so popular right now. I like good tones. I need a cab with the ability to handle the low tuning like the Vader cab does....but also have a midrange. I'm a strong believer that music is made in the mids.
I've had someone attempt to explain the theories behind the front vs rear loaded cabs. He wasn't quite adept enough to get his point across. Since I don't have the luxury of trying anything before I buy it...I have to rely solely on soundclips and opinions from other musicians. Everyone on here was very helpful with tube suggestions, so I'm sure everyone has an idea of what I need for this as well.
Thanks in advance,
Chad
