This equivalent is so mind numbingly ignorant.

Is your first reflex always this poorly thought out?

I get it. You’re a troll.

But do you even think things through before you post….or is it just diarrhea by keyboard right out of the gate?

On occasion, your responses and debate hint at intelligence, but this ain’t one of those times.

Ok, how about a refinery then? Barnsdall OK.

What's stupid about this thread is its premise. 'X' can't withstand a tornado so 'X' is stupid.

Well guess what bubba one-tooth - YOU can't withstand a tornado so what's that make you? Think hard now...you'll get it.

This is the tornado as it hit last year it was massive and formed very quickly. The tornado itself was 1 mile wide and was on the ground for 20 miles.

Yeah you talk an awful lot about it, as if you are some kind of authority on it. Did you go to the affected areas and see first hand or help in anyway ?

I was ( Forced to be) there for the first 3 ( very long) days starting the morning after.

Green energy not being green would make a great discussion. I'm not so sure about the fragile part.
I'd love to have some solar panels but I wouldn't do it without making heavy duty covers for them as they'd be destroyed in the first TX spring hailstorm. They were said to be very damage resistant but half dollar sized hail isn't uncommon and it will destroy a solar panel. We had fist sized stones two years ago. Then there is wind....well, when the wind gets too strong there goes your wind turbine. Also not uncommon here to have gusts to 50 mph.

After a lot of looking, the only form of green energy that enthuses me is hydro, and you need a good flowing creek and elevation at which point you have some pretty low maintenance, reliable power. And if it's a public utility on a large scale, you basically destroy the environment of the river you've dammed. The reality is there is no free lunch when it comes to power. Off grid power is more expensive than grid power, maintenance intensive in most cases, and somewhat fragile.

It's kind of like chickens....it's great to have all my eggs available on site but after ten years of keeping birds I spent more money than just buying them at the store and dealt with a lotta shit in the meantime.

Ya, in some parts of the world with severe weather like yours, it certainly doesn't make sense.
