I've narrowed it down to two types of H30 speakers I'm interested in for loading a 4X12 straight to be used with my Soldano HR100+ amp.
The problem is I think both are great speakers from all the You Tube vids I have listened too, and I still can't decide.
What I'm shooting for is the late 70's classic rock tones which a lot of the bands back then were using the Celestion G12M or G12H Greenbacks or Blackbacks., I prefer the heavier magnet.
I know the Soldano isn't exactly a classic rock voiced amp, but I set mine up for medium gain and EQ it as close as I can to capture the vintage vibe for now until I find a Marshall to add with it.

So, help me decide please, the Heritage H30 75hz or 55hz with a Soldano voiced amp.?

I have a quad of 75hz in a Marshall 4x12 and four 55hz in 2 Evh 2x12’s. All 16ohms.
I have a slo clone sitting atop the Marshall right now. I play more 80’s/90’s stuff so more gain than you. That said.
The 55hz has a nicer bass side. A little more rough sounding, Break up wise.
The 75hz are clearer sounding. Nicer top end. But suffer in the chug department.
I play all 3 cabinets sometimes in w/d/w and they compliment each other. So you may want to mix them. Otherwise 55hz a little darker (sabbath) 75hz (kiss)

The Heritage H is not the best pair up with a Soldano IMHO
However, the Heritage M (or EVH) sounds great with my SLO

Could you explain in more detail please?
Soldano pairs their amps with the V30's from the factory and many prefer Greenbacks with them as well.
The H30 sits right down the middle of a Greenback and V30, you would think it would fit in as well.

I have a Marshall 1960BHW with the Heritage H30's & with my Soldano Avenger it sounds great......Not as great with my 5150 III 50watt.

I run the 55HZ 12H30 Heritage with my Marshall's and compared to my 75Hz 12H30 Heritages the 55HZ has a bit more chewy, greasy woodiness but still tight enough and enough highs to them which I really like. I would think the 55HZ would be a pretty good match to the SLO if you want a little bit more give to the tone.

The 75HZ does have more top end highs, are slightly tighter and less bass response.

75Hz in my book, no question. They're a good sounding speaker, and not a bad representation of the original Pulsonics. The 55's don't really sound anything like the originals, and have a strident upper midrange to my ear.

This is my take too. I bought both and couldn’t get rid of the 55Hz fast enough. I still have the 75Hz. When I listen to clips they sound way closer but the example of each that I had were pretty different.

I'm glad I got some good ones because I don't hear any strident mids in mine, when you say strident mids I think of certain V-30's that had that mid spike.

I also really like my Heritage 75Hz ones as well when compared to my original 1979 75Hz 12H-30's they're super close right out of the box minus the 40 years of play time.

Yeah who knows, could be a number of things. They may have changed cones or processes over the years, break-in could be a factor, type of cab (or amp used of course), or maybe it's just my ear. I should add this was mostly when close-miked.
