We had over five inches of rain in Hollywood in 36 hours, over six here in Whittier (I'm 30 miles southeast of TM). It's raining harder here than a cow pissing on a flat rock, I've got streams coming out of my gutters about 1/2 to 3/4 inch tall...just nuts.

That's a good thing for the drought though and fills the aquifier.
