I can finally play guitar for like 10-15 min without my shoulder killing me or feeling it too much the next day (yay physio!) and I feel like I'll be much better in 6 months or a year. Since I can't play standing up anymore I'm 110% sure I will never be using whatever amp I buy to jam with a drummer or to play shows with. So it will strictly be used like a practice amp would.
Anyways, in the meantime I want to start looking into a small wattage practice amp. Ideally something I can 4 cable with my pod hd500?
I play death metal for the most part and my favourite tones are that of decapitated and psycroptic. I like that tight and punchy midrange without too much "grind".
I feel like a Rhodes would be perfect but it would be overkill for me unless he does a smaller version in the future.
I have no budget as my purchase won't be happening for like 4-5 months, so I have lots of time to save and plan accordingly.
