High mid vs low mid voiced amps

Little high, little low....any way the wind blows...

I'm good with either, heck I'll even scoop the mids if I feel like it!

I need some versatility but typically I prefer an amp with nice lower mods.

Difficult to use that as a judgement of my preferences though because it tends to differ on a number of variables.

If I could only choose one I'd go high mids to get the cut. Though I do like some low mids to give some thickness & chunk.

Both. So many other factors. One could suck, one could be great.

I like both for different reasons.

I agree...

I love the low mid emphasis of my amps Ecstasy and Einstien. But also like the high mid kerrang of Marshall style amps!!!

If I had to pick one I think it would be high mids which I actually don't have in an amp right now :(

I think when yer home, jammin out, the Low mids rule.
but with a band, I definitely prefer the High to cut through the mix better. Depends on your style of playing and must you are making. whether the guitar is a standout or just a rhythm background.

Both in stereo is ideal.
Like this idea. Me and the other guitarist r going to blend our sounds this way i think. Me more upper mids and him more lower. I used to only like lower mids and then started playing in an actual band. Things changed after that.

In my world view, this is like Marshall gain vs Mesa gain. Both useful in the right situation.
