I'm not sure who mentioned it but yeah someone mentioned it last week or a couple days ago.....


Never heard of it either and tried looking it up on the maps but couldn't find it because it's so tiny but apparently that's where Iran exports/refines 90% of its oil. Iran only contributes 2% of the worlds oil though but the island is pretty much it's only and main form of income.


So it's a huge bargaining chip when it comes to deals being made at the table. It's pretty much taking the Island hostage and putting a knife to its throat/gun to it's head.....


But there is the "Speed" (Sandra Bullock/Keanu Reeves/Jeff Daniels) best way to save the hostage being used as a human shield scenario...... "Shoot the hostage" then go for the gunman...... Most probably I wouldn't expect Iran will blow up its own refineries but with these bat shit crazy MotherFuckers who knows. Either way if it is taken I imagine a convoy around the island will go a long way in defending the position if it ever did go down :dunno:
 
I mean taking the Island would probably be easy and Marines and Troops can do this.......


But keeping them safe afterwards is another story. I mean, that's a tough one........ Depending on the pros vs cons and how well a convoy of ships around the Island or other means can defend the Troops and Marines once they take the Island it may or may not be worth it.


Maybe if the British or French could help in defense from that sense or other neighbors......


As said there is always the "Shoot the hostage" scenario where Iran blows up its own refineries and launches missiles at its own Island if the US takes it....... But a convoy and other Air defenses may make up for that if Iran ever did decide to do that......


I mean who knows but it may be worth the risk to gain even more leverage on the Iranian regime when it comes to making a deal.

Then make oil free for all so no more hostilities and negitive impact from the commies.

Give them all they want. Then Venezuela is much closer to us and we keep that shit.

Jesus christ if they put me on charge it would be over with and gas would be back to 1.59 in all states but CA.

That asshole administration will keep it a $6 no matter what

Trump demands China, other nations deploy warships to Strait of Hormuz​


US President Donald Trump has demanded China, Japan and other nations deploy their naval units to the Strait of Hormuz to protect maritime traffic from Iranian strikes. Trump simultaneously reiterated his claims that Iran had been “totally decapitated” and its military capability had been “destroyed 100%.” At the same time, the US leader said it was still “easy” for Tehran to send a “drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close-range missile” against shipping.

Earlier in the day, Trump threatened to order strikes on Iran’s main oil export hub on Kharg Island unless Tehran halts attacks on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of a deeper shock to global energy supplies. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it has “executed a large-scale precision strike” on the island, targeting military facilities “while preserving the oil infrastructure.”

Iran has insisted the installations on the island had not sustained heavy damage, while the country’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it maintains “full and precise control” over the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC also threatened retaliation against American “hideouts” in the Gulf states.
