How much do the M4s usually go for? Also, what do you have?

The modular stuff didn't do it for me, so I am selling mine all off. I have a Randall RM100 head, and an Egnater single channel M4. PM me if you want pics, and prices.

I'm curious though.......how does he put these things together? Does he have the actual amp in front of him? Is he going off schematics? How does he ascertain the tone? I mean if he's got all these amps he can do........he can't have all these amps at his disposal? Is it actual circuit board copying or is it his "impression" of an amp?

He posted that he's going off schematics but he must have access to photos or actual amps as well, since it's also been said that the mods are using the actual component types in use in the pre-amp circuits he's copying.

I'm not sure how well the modules PCB layout/routing 'fit' with all the pre-amp designs he's coping..so it may be there's some 'above the board' work with discrete components and wiring....but I'm not knowledgeable about tube preamps

The clips sound outstanding..he not only is a good tube guy but has access to/good ear for recording technique....the demos are really professional sounding (to me.)

I have to buy (at least) one of the modules to see how they sound live

I guess I have a tin ear. I try and try to get a certain tone out of my amp and five minutes of tweaking I've basically forgotten where I started from and what I need to change...

I respect the guys who can really dial in an amp/effect.
