She's a good player, especially for being such a "youngster" and one who could've used her substantial physical attributes alone to get much of what she wanted in life. I started playing guitar because I didn't have those attributes, but truly fell in love with it later. Top that all off with the fact that she has great taste in music -- which is quite surprizing considering the normal tendencies for someone in her age group.
I'm having trouble seeing the downside here (not to mention the reason for all of the hate/dismissal). Guitar players -- even good ones -- are a dime a dozen any more. It's all a big yawner. I sometimes hate YouTube because it's all become old hat. But at least this chick is someone I can enjoy looking at as well as listening to. I tend to think that she's got the possibility of a bright future in music, which is more than can be said for many of us.

That chick is hot, pretty good chops too though I would like to see better vibrato in the next 5 years.... then again i'd like to see her do a lot of other things in the next five years too!
Orianthi.. so tired of hearing about her.. Her beat it solo timing is horrible and she has no feel when she plays it. People always get so excited just because she is a chick and she can play basic licks. She never does anything that blows me away. Sounds like someone playing scales with a few tricks vs. someone who has killer phrasing like I don't know... a John Norum , vinnie moore or a Waren Demartini lol. (i'm such an 80's gutar player nut hugger)

BTW the only reason that girl will have a bright future is because she is hot and someone like a michael jackson or Alice cooper will hire her as a sideshow focal point rather than going with someone with better chops. So really, her looks..killer session guitar players are all over the place.
