Hot pickup with tight, lean low end

Any of @scottosan Tonenerd Sunset, Roxy, Wicked 8. If you can find one. He stopped making em after moving to Okinawa. But, I suggested he should release small batches every month.

SSH+ has a big low end. It's tighter than a a JB, but not what I'd consider tight.

Before Tonenerd, I used WCR Godwood and Motor City Detroiter in my Gibbys for tight, dynamic pups. Still do.

Man boutique is cool, but I strapped in a Distortion and it's great. I don't think the Wolfetone is a particularly thick sounding pickup, but the lean lows of the Duncan just suit the axe better.

Was the headline a secret cry for help? Maybe try here:

I didn't bring up tone nerd because they are no longer made. But the wicked 8 is top 2 pickup i have had. It may be the best.

Best pickup for a rounder, muddy LP. Brings in the higher mids, and tightens the low end nicely. I had a non-weight relieved LP traditional in 2013 that had the '57 Classics that was woofy and smeary.. Had a baseball bat neck.. I went through several pickups to clean it up and stumbled upon the Custom and it was instant satisfaction. Been using them in many guitars since.

Classics are classics for a reason

Edit to add:
I have a PRS CE24 that I've owned for 10 years. I threw in a set of Dimarzio Evolutions in there about 9 years ago. From time to time when I haven't played it for a while I'll think I should put something "better" in there. So I'll plug it in and play a little bit and by the time I'm finished, I'll think damn, I should add Evolutions in more guitars.

If you don't mind blades, the Wes Hauch Jupiter 6's are amazing as well. They're like a Full Shred, but better note separation and tighter. They're all about clarity and aggressive mids.

I have a Les Paul on the thicker side - looking for a bridge pickup with less lows than the current one (Wolfetone Blisterbucker).

I think this model is Wolfe's version of a Duncan DIstortion, not really sure. What have you guys tried that may help me out? Happy to explore boutiques but if there's a Duncan or Dimarzio you like hit me up.

It's for heavy rock, a bit of metal maybe.

Black Winter.

For everything.

I'm seriously considering the /m\ for my PRS CU22... but have not had the guts to try it out... Would it be too bright in drop D or does it have a rather flat EQ? Cause many of these ceramics perform rather well in lower tuning (like the tremonti for instance.. that was a bit glassy in the cu22 when i tried it in drop D)

I currently have a 57/08 in the bridge position of that guitar and sometimes I feel like I'd love a bit more grunt and guts and oomph. They sound very nice overall, but with certain amp profiles/models you can tell they start falling apart a bit with added gain. They are amazingly open and vocal to a point where a bit of natural compression would gel everything a bit more together...
I love the PRS \M/ pickup. I have used it in a number of PRS's I have owned and it has killed every time.

Output wise, it is the next step up from a 57/08, which is in the "hot PAF" category.
It has great midrange attack, but it has more more balanced mids compared to alot of high output pickups, and i think that is part of what makes it really versatile.

It is also very clear, tight and punchy in the low end and absolutely stays that way regardless of tuning or gain.

I waffle back and forth between it and the Tremonti as to which I like better for a higher output PRS pickup. Tremonti has more output, bigger low end, top end sizzle and is a bit more forgiving.
