Oh yeah? I didn't know they were from Oulu! Is that where you're from? I was there once for a conference, it was very different. When I was there the city seemed dead, not many people around, and the people that were on the street never looked you in the eye or smiled Then you go in a bar and everyone is smashed and super talkative, it was really weird. Kinda stank like pulp mill too. A good learning experience though, I met some cool folks and saw some cool buildings

Oh yeah? I didn't know they were from Oulu! Is that where you're from? I was there once for a conference, it was very different. Pitkänen is from Oulu and Jokinen is from place which is about a hundred or so kilometres from Oulu but he started playing in Oulu's team as a 18yo.

I've been living in Oulu since 2005. If you were out at night and people weren't looking you in the eyes, that's normal because an eye contact with some (idiot) drunk stranger might get you in a fight.

Hahahahahaha OK, that makes a bit of sense- I can drink a lot (well, whiskey at least), but I was still blown away by how much straight booze people were putting back at the bar!! You guys definitely know how to drink My buddies in Oslo said the first thing Norwegians do when they met up with Finnish friends is have a drinking contest to see if they can keep up, and I saw why firsthand I wonder how our Newfies and Nova Scotians would stack up, that would be an epic battle

Finns' alcohol intake isn't spread for the whole week but for fri-sat instead. As for the drinking contest, you gotta have some competition between the viking friends...
