yeah, that is very cool.

I wonder if that circuit has a noticeable tonal effect?

Somehow I doubt it. Looks like there's nothing there other than a switch to cut coils.

Genius idea, IMO. There's barely any circuitry involved. The PCB board that you see is only really terminals where you hook up the red, white, green, black wires. It's only there to dummy proof it.

Shouldn't have any more tonal effect than a push pull, right?

Exactly!
It's brilliant!

Yeah, I was just talking about hooking this up to the P-Rails in another thread. I think it's a great idea!!!

Yup.. and it's clean as hell! One 3-way toggle and 2 of those and you got all the tones you can possibly need from your pickups.

Okay...now the question is who is going to be the first guinea pig here and get this all wired up? :D

LOL! :D
My next guitar is going to be either an HSS or HH, I'm gonna put that in there.

Ingenious. Simple and obvious idea in retrospect - Makes me wonder why it took "so long" for someone to "invent" it. (and wish I did, and patented it too!  )

I always say that there's a ton of obvious shit that could be invented and be really useful, but for some reason it's so hard to actually think of things like that.

I think that its an awesome Idea and while I generally love gadgets, I have no use for that thing. I get everything that I want or need out of almost any Pickup configuration and a 5 way switch...

Let's say you had a San Dimas Charvel with a 3-way switch. You slap 2 of these on, and you have all the tones you'd need.
Or shit.. if you had a Les Paul...

I agree, if I have a 5-way, I'm good to go.

wow...very cool idea! I'd love to put that on the bridge bucker in my S/S/H strat

Great idea! ...but I'd have to test drive it, to make sure when I'm picking frantically (in the middle of a solo) I wouldn't whack those switches around.
I bet I would..I'm crazy like that. :D

A pair of these are going into my latest guitar purchase along with the P Rails.
