George and Ringo had great success after the Beatles; last I heard Ringo still takes his All Stars on tour, and gets many other famous players to join him

I think Ringo and George were probably more likeable and easier to work with than Paul or John. And i think the comments of "any drummer could have played with the Beatles and sounded as good or better than Ringo" are way off base...he was a perfect fit.
